A really good RV repair should be able to repair it. Ever had an accident in your car? Good shop will make it look like new and you won't see a repair.
Thank you for the reply Ed. The only problem with that is the RV fiberglass has a texture to it with strands going in all directions. I have seen excellent fiberglass repairs done on boats but it's a different type of surface. Cars are the same way. It's a nice smooth surface and easy to blend in between repaired surfaces and non-repaired surfaces. I could be wrong about it but I am pretty sure that it wouldn't look right after it was completed.

could the problem be heat related?

I don't believe so. Its only affecting a small area. If you look at it it clearly looks like glue patterns underneath the fiberglass. As if it was not installed with enough glue or too much?

Just to update you guys on this issue. I will open another thread about some other potentially serious problems that have arisen this first full camping season (not even over yet!). The dealer contacted me today. KZ has denied my DEALERS REQUEST to have the camper brought back to the factory for repairs. They want the dealer to talk to a third party body shop and get quotes. To us at this point, this is completely unacceptable for a problem that was due to poor manufacturing processes (i.e. gluing the fiberglass to the substrate) If a portion of this wall is repaired it will look terrible. There is no way they will be able to match it with the rest of the coach. Unless someone at KZ steps up to the plate that reads this, our days with the KZ brand may be short lived.

Please update after you determine the actual cause of your problem. I have a 2014 Durango 336RE, bought new, and have been scrupulous about maintenance. Yet, I developed several blisters in the upper left sidewall, just aft of the bedroom slideout. I was told that the cause was delamination due to water intrusion, and went ahead with a roof replacement and surgical replacement of the sidewall section. $12,000 later, the work is complete, but the shop says there was no evidence of water intrusion at the sidewall. They say that some sidewalls are showing these symptoms due to a reaction between the sidewall materials and the adhesive used in the laminating process. I've looked for more information on line, but so far have found nothing. In the meantime, I've found a large soft spot under the vinyl floor in my kitchen area - another difficult and costly repair. My ownership experience may not be typical, but I really have to wonder about design, manufacturing and quality control issues with late model RVs.
Sorry to hear that. I have checked all of our caulking from the factory and everything is intact and looks good. If water got behind ours in those spots It must be through osmosis!!!

I own a 381 2016 Durango gold.i also have delamminating problems. My unit was sent back to kz factory for repairs. Repair were supposed to be completed. Unit was ship back to me without decals on sides.plus a month later the delamination problem came back but this time worse. I talked with factory the said th he work they do is only warranted for 90 days. I told my dealer the job was never completed because unit was missing decals . Factory agreed to do a good will repair but I have to haul unit to factory and pick it up. My dealer won't help me out either with hauling. Kz told me that the only time the can fix it is in June and they cant give me a completion time. Last time it was at factory for the same repair it took 4 weeks.im wondering if I can trust kz anymore on there workmanship. I got a quote from a body shop for over 22 thousand dollars . Any buddy have any advise on what I should do. I think kz are having a real serious problem with their whole organization. I'm worried if I take my camper there and they close there doors or go out of business. I will be screwed. After talking with kz they are having a complete restructuring of the company. If any buddy has any advice it sure would be appreciated thanks.

I watched a class A that had been in some type accident repaired at a small fiber glass shop locally. Originally I would have said totaled and it sat a long time, I suspect waiting for the OK from insurance. It looked amazing when done. The same shop had done a small repair on a boat transom for me several years ago and the finish was like glass when he was done.

Thor is facing the same problem everyone in the RV/ construction industry is- that being a lack of qualified employees. But if KZ is willing to fix it, I would go for it, as your dealer doesn't sound like they want anything to do with repairing it.

Saw this kicked back to the top. As I mentioned in my other thread our camper has been repaired and is ready for us to pickup. I have not idea what we are going to find when we arrive. I have pictures of the repair of the side wall but hard to tell if all of the repairs are seamless and will last etc.
I will discuss the possible cause once we arrive in the next several weeks to pick it up. As of now, it sounded like it was a glue/adherence issue on our camper that caused the bubbles based on my brief conversation while I was there with the camper. Don't want to say much beyond that because I simply do not know. Hopefully they can shed some light on the situation, because like everyone else here, I am curious what the root cause it and will it possibly happen again.

we as well have delamminating problems in all three of our slides which I have posted a few place on this form...
Dealer states they can fix such an have done many, but the cost of replacing slide walls an slide floors makes me wonder at a cost of 7k ... I wanted to take it back to factory but Kz was not so willing in the discussions or the lack of to except it as I heard it ....
I ask dealer to take pictures an document everything because no one could tell me how a 4 year old trailer had 7K of water damage when it had been close up for close to two years at home an inspected three different times by dealer an two times by Kz stating the trailer was in great shape ...
