One of the running lights on the front of my rig has burned out. I don't see any way to get behind them, so I'm hoping they can be replaced from the outside? Picture to follow. Attachments:

You can pull the lights out from the front. However, I couldn't find a way to replace the bulb other than cutting the wires and wireing a new bulb. I took it to the dealer because the fridge wasn't working either. My rig has had an lot more defects than I expected.

I don't think any one makes a perfect RV. I belong to a couple RV forums and 300K+ Class A's have issues. KZ does a good job at it's price point and most of my issues have been with things installed by them and built by outside companies. The same stoves, heaters, A/C's etc are used by all the RV manufactures so it's the luck of the draw if you get something like your fridge not working. (by the way it is covered by who ever made it) I bypassed KZ and went direct to the manufacture for some repairs, I needed VIN & purchase date. There are more repair shops than dealers.

Edd505 is right. I recently had a situation where my Residential Refrigerator came loose in transit and tilted out of the slide ... it didn't fall over, but tilted at about a 20-30 degree angle ... and it wouldn't go back in due to the way KZ secured it in the first place. Too long to cover here, but I called 3 different mobile RV repair companies and as soon as I said "residential" refrigerator .... they immediately said, we don't work on those. In each case, I explained that there wasn't anything wrong with the actual fridge, just the way it was mounted and secured. Didn't matter ... I couldn't get anyone to even come and look at it because "we don't work on those". Unfortunately, this is true for many things in an RV. Expect to be on your own, or at least on your own dime. BTW, DW and I fixed the fridge with a little ingenuity and muscle power. BTW, that tilting thing will NEVER happen again.

Not sure how they fixed it ... I'll take a look at the Rally. The original way was to install a 1/2" piece of wood hanging down from the top of the slide (mounted with two screws ... sigh!) so that when the fridge rocked forward it was supposed to hit that board and keep it from tilting. Mine cleared that corner (I can only assume there wasn't enough overlap) and once it boinked past, that same little corner wouldn't let it rock back. So I moved it (the hanging down board) sideways to allow the fridge room to go back. It is now secured by two honking strong brackets (on each side) and equally strong straps. These are moving day things, when we land, we release the straps and let them hang on their brackets so they aren't very noticeable, the other side brackets serve as a hand towel holder, so it looks like it belongs. Far superior to KZ's "technique" ... less elegant, but more functional.

Just to add a little context here. Most newbie's (me included back in the beginning, but we've been full time for 3 years now) assume that buying an RV is similar to buying a car. Let me assure you it is nothing like buying a car. The auto industry has highly developed and repeatable processes. Every RV is essentially hand built, which means no two are exactly alike. You will not find plumbing diagrams, electrical wiring diagrams, etc. For example ... your question about the nose light. the wire that you are looking for could be at the top, middle, or bottom, depending on who wired it, whether they were tall or short, left handed or right handed, brand new employee or long time hand. So many variables it will blow your mind. Plus the network of "dealers" is actually a network of "retailers", having not much interest in servicing a different dealers sold products. A Ford can and will be worked on by any Ford dealer in the US without regard to where you bought it ... not so with RV's. This is not to discourage you, but to explain some of the differences between "warranty" in the auto world vs. "warranty" in the RV world. I think KZ understands the problem and is "working on it" ... but the gap remains.

I agree with Ronc on his statements, the DW an I have learned allot over the past years starting out with truck slide-ins Class C's an now our second 5th wheel But again you should be able to pop the running light out an the wires should be plugged into the light, just unplug them an replace light an snap it back in ... I have yet to see any round LED light wires soldered to the light it's self only plugins at the light ... Now my vast experience with these type of lights has been on semi trailers an over the road trucks along with my own F350 DW CC 4x4 but I can't believe things would change just because it's a 5th wheel or TT in the interest of cost Ugh !!! Are those blue lights supposed to come on when it gets dark and driving down the road? I plugged my truck up to mine last night and only things that lit up was the top amber lights and all of them down the side. None of the blue ones there lit up? Guess thats another problem i am gonna have to take it back to the dealer to get fixed if they are supposed to light up.

Not sure it's legal to drive with those cap lights on? Ours are turned on via a switch in the living area. "Cap Lights"

Those cap lights aren't a part of the required lights to drive at night. On my rig they are called "hitch lights" ... that's what they are there for, and they kinda look cool at night. Mine are white, not blue. I only use them when we are parked to help us locate our rig when in big new locations. I never tow at night, so I never need them to light up the hitch area.

I am retired WA. LE & can assure you any blue showing on other than LE vehicle will get you ticketed in WA, WA has very specific color laws. and likely many other states. I had that conversation with a fire chief who was going to order blue for his fire trucks.
Here is the pertainant section (4) Blue lights are prohibited on any vehicle other than a law enforcement vehicle as defined in WAC 204-21-020.
The full section's here: WAC 204-21-230

Edd505 thats what I kind of figured. I think it is the law here in the state of Georgia also. I used to drive a big truck and I knew nothing blue could be on the front or sides. So then my question is how do they come on?

I learned only a few years ago that, here in AZ, red and blue together are LEO and FD ONLY. Even ambulances are red or red and yellow ONLY. One of those things that you sorta knew by osmosis, but never really thought about until you read it or someone told you specifically about. Then you go hmmmmmm... :-)

Edd505, I found it in the storage compartment. There is a switch there and I thought it was for the light under there but it was for the blue lights. Thanks for your help.
