Hi all,
Has anyone replaced the “window air conditioner” style A/C themselves? Is it challenging? I assume you have to replace it from the outside of the camper given the lack of access in the cabinet that it’s mounted in?
I’m thinking about replacing it with a combination AC/Heat Pump unit. The installed furnace uses a ton of propane. We are not cold weather campers, and always have electricity, so I figured this would give us just enough heat for the cool nights.
Anyone tried this?
Thanks!

I was just using the term window AC unit to describe it (versus rooftop mounted) It’s stock. It’s an AC unit you would typically see in a window. Sits in a cabinet inside above the table. Here is the outside view:

My 2016 Spree Escape toyhauler has the same setup, and I have no idea how to pull the unit for repair.

Well those style are usually mounted sliding from the inside. On the paperwork for the unit there should be instructions to mount in a "non-window" hole.
