Hello everyone,
I plan on flushing out my fresh water tank and sanitizing it. I plan on using a bleach/water solution. What is the best way to do this from start to finish. I'm not even sure how to get the solution in due to having to fill tank thru hose connection on water manifold.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

To get bleach into the tank, you need to empty a bunch of water out of your hose, and pour bleach into the hose before you connect it to the RV. Once the bleach is in the hose, be careful about moving the hose around to avoid it splashing back out on you. I guess you could put a shut-off valve on the end of the hose to make things a little easier.
Before you begin, make sure your valves are diverted the proper way to begin filling the fresh water tank. You don't want to pump that bleach up into the plumbing of the unit.
Put as much bleach/water you want in the tank. Then I'd drive it around to make sure all of the tank surfaces have been coated. Let it sit for a bit, then drain it out into a bucket or area that wouldn't be affected by the bleach water. Fill with fresh water and drain several times until the majority of the bleach smell has gone away.

look at the position knobs in your convenience center, there are ways to siphon/pump liquid into the tank from a bucket pretty easy to do.
