I don't know about easy to install, as mine came from the factory, but they're definitely worth it, IMO. If you're a DIY guy, they're easy to make, and a lot of people do. Lyle I'll have to look in to it. I can weld if needed. Pretty simple to make. Some light tubing, nuts, bolts and angle stock, is all they are. Lyle

I have to say I never been at a camp site that unlevel that I needed to block wheels off the ground Ugh !!! KOA look pretty nice, have to remember that when we are back there next summer in late August, most of the KOA's we have stayed in, in the mid-west an western states have always lead us to our site an made sure we were happy with what we had ... I can only remember one time we ask to move because our door opened into a tree an there was no way to get around such Love the blue sky, wish we had some, nothing but gray an rain Ugh !!! Safe Travels Chuck

I read later that what I should have done was put more blocks on the opposite side of the trailer and that would have compensated.
We'll be staying at that KOA again on our way to Pigeon Forge, TN later this year. Hope to spend an afternoon and evening there and get a better idea of what they have to offer.

Here are some pictures from our last trip out. We put on about 2700 miles traveling from PA to the Sunshine Key RV Resort in Big Pine Key, Florida. All hitched up and ready to take off for Christmas in the Keys. Our site at Sunshine Key The dead palm frond was removed shortly after.....😬

It was a trip worth taking! That was the first time we have ever been to the Keys. The resort we stayed in was practically all new. It was wiped out by Irma, and just reopened in September. I have a coworker who lives in Stuart Florida, so we rented a slip in the marina at the resort and he brought his 21’ CC boat down Christmas Day, and stayed with us till we left. Needless to say, we were all out on the water every minute we could be.
The ride down was miserable. We left home at 4am the Friday before Christmas. I wanted to get around Baltimore and DC before the morning rush. It was raining, but not bad till Richmond. Once we hit Richmond the wind started. It was a horrible white knuckle ride the rest of the day. The wind was just absolutely brutal. I should have been able to make Cocoa Beach with no problem, but after MANY stops to calm nerves, we only made it to the GA Welcome Center at the SC/GA line at about 8PM.
Got up and rolled from there at 3:30am. Stopped at the Streakin (Blue) Beacon around Fort Pierce, FL to have the crusty rig washed. We lost nearly 2 hours there, but really needed it! I guess we made it to the resort about 4:45, and was able to get setup before dark. It was a LONG 2 days.
But then we enjoyed 8 days of fun in the sun!
On the way home we stopped for the night in Cocoa Beach. Since it was then New Years Eve, we stopped in Doswell to celebrate at Kings Dominion, and stayed at their Camp Wilderness for the night. New Years Day was brutally windy again. Crossing the Memorial Bridge of the Susquehanna on 95 that day was one of my more questionable decisions on the trip. If I have no choice but to travel in wind like that again, I’ll cross the river at the Conowingo Dam.
All in all, it was a good 12 day adventure! Christmas away from home, in a beautiful and warm place we’ve never been to. It was just a really exciting and new experience for us.

That bridge is scary without towing a rig! I have had my car blown across a half lane with stiff west winds. I will be towing across the Susquehanna in May or late June on my way to Jersey. Sounds like you had quite an adventure though!

G*d forbid that the Feds/State/County/City puts up some flags along the bridge to give =some= clue as to how hard it's blowing.

That bridge in particular, I usually check weather for Port Deposit, MD. If they have small craft advisories up for the Chesapeake Bay, then you know to cross with caution. One hand on the wheel, one on the brake controller, 30% trailer brakes, and right foot to the floor. Oh, and hide the wife under a blanket. 😂😂

Looking forward to getting back out there again. These were taken at Hammonnasset State Park in Connecticut in August. Heading to Georgia from Connecticut in April and then a tour of the upper Midwest and Canada ending up at Sebago Lake in Maine at the end of July
