Hello I recently purchased a Sportster 321THR13 and have a couple questions. Does anyone know if they provide service manuals for these or are there only the ones that come with the trailers?
My black water washout nozzle does not work. I can’t get any water into it at all. I tried blowing into it and it sounds like there is a check valve in the line somewhere that is in backwards. I removed the outer panel but it’s not there and I can’t find it anywhere on the inside. I would hate to start removing panels without having some idea where the check is located.
Does anyone know of any good sites explaining how to winterize a camper? I’ve seen a few and still have a few questions. They mention hot water bypass and I have not been able to find this on my camper? If I purchase an adapter for my air compressor and blow out the water lines is this sufficient enough for the water lines?
Thanks

Hi. For the black water washout, the check valve is generally at the highest point of the line. If you removed the panel, you should see that the line goes up into the camper. What is directly above that? Mine goes into the camper under the sink in the bathroom. It goes up, elbows over, check valve, and then elbows down back into the floor. Don't forget to winterize this line.
Winterization depends on where you live and how cold it gets. I'm in northeast Ohio and would not trust just blowing the lines out. The hot water bypass is usually on the back of the tank. You may have to search around a little bit to see how you can access it.

I wondered about people who just blow out the lines. How do you get the water out of the water pump ?

Yes, if you live where you get a hard freeze, blowing lines out then adding antifreeze is a good idea, better to be safe than sorry. That's what I do. As far as getting the pump dry, one can either disconnect lines and drain it or fill it with antifreeze.
