yep they were to "save water", I rarely boon dock so I wanted pressure & volume and the 40psi city gives me both. I haven't run into an RV park that charges for water - yet. KOA just outside of Flagstaff AZ, charges (IIRR) $3.25 for "water"- or they did when we rolled thru there a few years ago. They also wanted you to wear these crazy green wristbands. Uh, no... Was that the one on Rt. 66, just E of the Flagstaff Mall? I almost got kicked out of there because they didn't like my Rottie lap dog. Had him cabled to the landing leg with 1/4" cable while we walked around the park for a bit. KOA's "cart guy" was about to s**t himself and said we needed to get out. Apparently our boy'd barked at a couple other dogs and they didn't like that. Fortunately, our nephew also lives in Flag, so we took the dog out to his place for the night, where he had a great time making new friends with nephew's dogs. NO banned-breed posting and it was only waaaaaay down in the fine print where it said anything about not being able to tie your dogs out. Oh, well. Dog died a long time ago, we were newbie RVers and there's other parks or the nephew's place if I want to go there again. :-) Lyle

You think you were at a water park wear-in wristbands, what's next a ball an chain, what a minute, I already got's one
of those

Given the water situation in the SW, I'm surprised that more parks aren't charging for water. Williams, especially, has been hard hit and they've been scrambling for several years in trying to find new sources. Flagstaff is better, but it's still much dryer than "average". Lyle

Even if they started charging for water, I doubt it would be metered, more likely a flat fee for all. As I said, my shower flow is fine with the Oxygenator head so the restrictors help my water softener go longer between recharges.

As well behaved as Pops is, these two puppies (7 months old) will bother him no end. They are like rubber balls ... bouncing all over the rig.

If that ever happens, California will lead the way ... they have figured out how to tax and overcharge for EVERYTHING. Diesel $4.40 ... really? DEF $18.00 ... really?

The fix for CA prices 2.5 gallons of DEF in tool box.

Gas taxes here in PA are the highest in the nation, diesel is nearly the highest. Although I live in PA, I have bought exactly 1/2 tank of diesel and no gas in PA in the past 2-1/2 years when they really raised fuel taxes. I have a big tank and fuel cans that allows me to fire the hogs in PA.
Currently the feds are considering a considerable raise in the federal portion of the fuel taxes. In my municipality, there were roads washed out from flooding last August, nothing is being done. They always want more money and nothing happens.
Sure glad that I have a modern diesel that doesn't smoke, stink or rattle thanks to systems like better fuel injection, DPF and DEF.

We'll have to refuel twice ... maybe three times in CA. Then it's back to reality. It's like going to Disney World ... just a temporary departure from reality.

We’re in Mammoth Lake and diesel here is $4.55.

Well I not surprised that up here it's not that high, like lynnmor stated we almost have the same thing, higher fuel prices but the roads are a mess ...
The only projects we see are in the state of King county which Seattle is in, an around Tacoma were they been
expanding I-5 now for 30 years an have not finished it yet nor will they in the future any time soon ...
I liken it to Chicago on I-80/90 were they been working on the same roadway since I been driving thought there in the early 70's, talk about job security Ugh !!!!
I only see fuel price's going up this summer, it makes me wonder if we even want to take the trip back east because of such now ... I figure our truck get about 10 to 12mph in the mountains an around 14mph on the flat land an we have about 2500 miles to go ... So the last I heard national average was $3.12 a gallon for fuel Ugh !!! now throw in camp ground fee's, food an beverage's my bank account is going to be screaming
that's for sure
I might have to beg Ronc for booze an Edd505 for coffee at the rally
