We are trying to schedule a special event for the rally a farewell dinner so to speak. We were wondering if there would be any interest in a Thresher Dinner. A Thresher Dinner is a traditional Amish harvest banquet served family style and is usually held in an Amish barn set up specifically for this function.
The menu usually consists of a hearty soup, homemade breads, jams and spreads, vegetable trays, German coleslaw, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, beef & spatzles, sage dressing, Amish broasted chicken, and you choice of either turkey, honey smoked ham or roast beef, plus your beverage and pie.
Depending on were we have this event the cost per person will be somewhere between $20.00 and $30.00.
Or would you sooner go to Dead Lobster??
I would like some input.
Thanks Walter
