Any Escape owners out there? At the time of this post, there are no 'Escape' postings.
We are anxiously waiting to take delivery of an Escape E191BH. We previously had the E196BHS which is the previous version (almost identical) of the E191BH that was totaled by a hail storm (resulting water leaks led to rotting floor). We then bought a Vision 23BHS (KZ), but it was a little to long for my short wheelbase truck (GMC Canyon), so we are downsizing again to the E191BH.
We loved out E196BHS, so we are excited about being smaller again.

There may not be any Escape owners posting on here in this folder, but if you have any questions at all just ask and somebody will most likely be able to help you out. There are lots of knowledgeable and helpful people on this site that are always glad to help.

When you have questions or issues that might pertain to various models, it might be better to post on the General Board using a title that includes the topic. Trailers are much the same and there is usually no need to isolate the topic to just one series.

I have the 2016 Spree Escape Toyhauler E17FKTH; pull with a Silverado half ton. Love the setup and just the right size for DW and I. So ask away of anything that you think I could help with.

Anyone have an idea about the tongue weight the the E191BH (or E196BHS)?
I have an Equalizer 600/6000 hitch (from previous trailers) and am a little concerned that the E191BH will be at the upper limit (15% * 4,000 lbs (GVWR)). I am wondering whether I should upgrade to the 1,000/10,000 lb Equalizer.
Thank you, Serge

I have a e196bhs, not sure on exact tounge weight, never had it actually weighed, however I use a fastway 600/6000 (cheaper version of a equalizer) and have no problems with it what so ever

I know this is an older post, but I'm thinking of getting a 180th Toyhauler but am worried that with only a entry door in the rear, can you get by the motorcycle in the cargo area. Looks like there would not be enough room with my Harley there.

I see that this thread is a bit old but was hoping to revive it. My family just purchased our first TT (2020 Escape E160RBT) and looking forward to enjoying it! Would love to get other owners experiences. I'll share more once we get going with it. Happy camping to all!

We just bought a 2019 191BH in May. Had been looking at the Sportsman 181BH but my OCD knew the lack of bathroom sink would drive me crazy....

I just bought a E191BH (one queen bed and two bunk beds( with the off-road option. It has been great! We've only used it twice and so far and with hookups but our first off the grid trip is later this month.

Hi All -- Looks like this old post is getting some new blood -- I posted previously in March - about my upgrading from a pop up to the 201BH -- had been looking for a while and was hooked on the 191BH -- but I feel my researching paid off with the coming of the 201BH !!! The thing that the spouse and I like is the addition of the sofa and change to the head /toe murphy bed from the side /side queen bed -- and with that we get an extra 2 ft -- dosen't sound like much - but that adds TON of room The ONLY downside is the lack of storage and pantry space - We have taken it out on a couple of weekend trips at our home campsite in Monument CO, Had the host of Grand Kids with us (6) and the first weekend (Memorial Day ) Had all 4 Seasons to include SNOW - everything worked well - and with timing sleeping space worked out -- since then have had 2 opportunities for fairly long trips - one by myself to Pagosa Springs, CO with my Explorer (2016) managing Wolf Creek Pass, (10,000 ft) and 50 MPH Cross winds across the SW Co Plains-- White knuckle driving there !!! and then our last week long trip to Gunnison CO, and traversing Monument Pass (11,300 ft) with the Family. Both those trips faired well -- still feel with having the full complement of 4 grand kids -- things get tight and the lack of storage intensifies -- Our next planned trip is just the wife and I - from Colorado - Tuscon AZ - Lexington KY, back to CO - Mostly to see Friends, and Family, stops to be at Free spots (no hookups). will do an after trip post for what we found out So far as I said -- I feel this was a great upgrade for us -- Oh I forgot to say -- the wife and I are retired, I just threw in the towel on July 2 - and now getting used to the "Free Time"

Our next planned trip is just the wife and I - from Colorado - Tuscon AZ - Lexington KY, back to CO - Mostly to see Friends, and Family, stops to be at Free spots (no hookups). will do an after trip post for what we found out Well got back from that long trip -- 21 days, 4,550 miles, mixed with Hook up (Moochdocking, Boondocking, and Campground) -- All went well --Again, TV is 2016 Explorer with Factory Tow Package, I use an Anderson WD / Anti Sway Hitch, Feel it is worth it's weight in gold !! This trip also had it's share of High Crosswind, Thunderstorms , gave me some white knuckle drive days -- just cut the speed down and all was well -- During the travel days, we kept travel to about 6-7 hr, 450 mile days -- and then looked for free O/N places -- Home Depot, Cracker Barrel, Truck Stops, and Bass Pro. they were Great stops, did some easy lunches, and dinners - Didn't put the slide out - still had room to use the camper with access to everything, Bathroom, Fridge, Kitchen and Bed. when we stopped at family, had access to 15 amp outlets, so was able to plug in to keep the fridge cold -- on the road - used the propane and that went well -- during the days between hook up found tat the Battery wasn't charging between stops -- When I arrived home - pulled out the multi meter -- Found that the Explorer didn't have power to the TV Plug - found they had put an incorrect fuse in the charging circut ( didnt really need it previously) replaced fuse - and voila Gharging while driving now !!! -- Camper now winterized and in Storage, did a total 8 weeks , a little over 7,000 miles, this year, will be looking for more use next year So happy with this camper, Just modifying the cabinets to make them more usefull, anyone with thoughts how to make the dinette seats a little more user friendly??? Alex

I have just purchased an Escape E14 Hatch to use as a micro toy hauler. I am wondering if anyone has put a motorcycle in the back of a Hatch?

We have an E181RB that we purchased new in 2020! It has been the perfect couples trailer.
We currently reside in SW Michigan.
