Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and inputs. The reason I asked is that I will be attending this year's rally in Shipshewana and the Friday before the rally, I will be at MorRyde for my annual alignment and wheel bearing repack. I'm hoping to mochdock in their parking lot Friday night as my reservation for Shipshewana South doesn't go into effect until Saturday. So carrying full water from Shipshewana to Elkhart and back. Not far, but I'm a better safe than sorry type.

I am going to the rally. We had a ball last year, looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting new folks.

Sadly ... Chuck is correct. My Bean Bag skills pretty well suck. Maybe I'll increase my adult beverage intake ... what could go wrong? HA!!

100 gallons every time I leave the house. Never had an issue, about 30 weekend trips a year.

I suspect more damage to support structures would be done by a half tank sloshing back and forth than a full tank where movement is minimal. Problems with big fuel and oil tanks usually arose when a half-full tank was hauled over rough terrain. GD

Since most of the time we carry our motorcycles in the garage. We only carry about 5 gallons of fresh water in the tank. Just enough to flush and wash hands. All drinking and cooking water is bottled at home. The few times we have camped without water or power I just searched for somewhere close to destination to put some water in the tank.
