In my G382MBQ there are a bank of light switched in the hallway when you come in to turn on the lights in the kitchen and the hallway. However, I cannot figure out what the switch on the far right is for? I do not see any lights turning on when I switch it and I cannot remember what our dealer said during the walk through. Any ideas?

Does it control the outside light over the door? Mine has both a yellow and white option over the door. The switch in the wall controls the yellow.

Yep I agree with johnr it's more than likely what some call the outside porch light over the door Safe Travels Don't forget about the Kz national rally in August Chuck

Does it have lights in the front cap? Not sure why but mine does, maybe night hitching other wise they are useless.

I have a 382MBQ and the out side lights are in the "closet" which cover the door and steps, the cap light is on the slide/awning control panel. The light switches are (If I remember correct) from left to right the lights over the sink, the overhead lights and hall. There is a separate switch by the table for the lights over the table/couch. Hope that helps! BTW I have a set of lights I cant remember where the switch is, they are the 2 above the sliding glass door if you know were they are let me know.

The two lights above the sliding glass door require you to press in the center to turn on/off. There is another switch towards the ceiling for the outside patio light.

I only have 3 in my hall the 4th is in the closet where the tank monitors are. Maybe a design difference from year to year?
Could it be the light on the patio deck? Mine is by the door but they may have moved it, or even an awning light?

Any ideas? Ok Gary Looking at pictures of a G382MBQ the switch panel coming into the door looks like the one we have in our G364FLT. One switch turns on the hallway lights, one switch turns on the overhead in the living room, an one switch will turn on the lights over the kitchen Island Hope this helps, safe travels Chuck

In my 5th wheel, I have some wall lights that are operated by a wall switch along with some round lights on the ceiling. If you push the button on the fixture itself or on the ceiling light, those lights will go off and not operate when the wall switch is operated. You might have a light somewhere that is switched off at the fixture but would operate with a wall switch if the button was pushed.

Also there is a switch, usually in the hall area, that operates the ceiling fan.

Well like i said in my PDI list, take lots of notes, label things with a peace of tape while going thought your PDI If your not sure, label it, take a picture of it with your phone an take the tape back off if you don't like tape all over the place, that way you can go back an see what the switch goes to .... SLOL Gary I have cap lights that are on the switch panel for the fresh an black water tanks but I have no speaker lights, I think they put those in for the youngsters under 70's crowd because they can still hear. The over 70 you get the cap lights so you can see where your trailers is because you can't hear any more an forgot were you put it LOL Safe travels Chuck

Hey Gary since you have the same model as me, how do you turn the lights on inside that are over the sliding door in the back? Those I have not figured out yet. I'm guessing there is some secret spy handshake for it!

AHHA!!!! Thanks Chuck, I missed that little tid bit! I did see the switch up at the top of the door but never thought to press the lights. But being 5 foot nothing it may take me a step stool to turn them on. ROFL! Will try that out.

Bobcat Your not the only one that needs a step stool to reach some of the lights on these trailers, the one's over our couch is way to high for me to reach, the bulbs in those lights may last forever since they will never be turned on jetzen's 384 has one switch for his I believe outside light that is on the ceiling on his slide, he ask the 5th wheel manager at the rally if they thought everyone was 6'5" an could reach such, notice in the newer 384's the switch like ours is back on the wall, so I can see they were listening Safe Travels an don't forget about the Kz Rally Chuck

I still feel that the designers/managers need to actually take these things out and use them. They would find a lot of the usability issues simply by being forced to use the features.
