Martin Dies Jr. State Park is west of Jasper, Texas on Hwy. 190. Camp site are large with 20 amp thru 50 amp electrical and water connections. Off season pricing is $20 per night for RV hook ups plus a per person entrance fee of $4 unless you have a Texas state park pass. Park has 2 boat ramps, one on south side of hwy and one on north side of hwy. There are several hiking/biking trails thru the forest, longest is ~2.5 miles, a fishing pier, swimming area in the lake, play grounds with swings for children and canoe rentals. Each campsite has a concrete picnic table and a fire ring. There are tent sites, RV sites, and screened shelter sites. Overall a quiet place to spend a weekend or up to 14 days. Sites can be reserved and it is recommended that you make a reservation during peak season.
