Hi, just me again. Picked up my Durango 325RL. When getting the walk-through, the tech said that the battery required that I check and add water to it. I've always had maintenance free batteries in the past. So, I've got a couple questions:
1. I have always kept my campers plugged in when not using it, even in the winter. With this new battery, do I need to bring it in the house during the winter?
2. Do I need to turn the battery leads off when not in use?
3. How often do I need to check the water level?
Thanks!

1. I have always kept my campers plugged in when not using it, even in the winter. With this new battery, do I need to bring it in the house during the winter? No, but it be easy to charge and add water. An even temperature might add some life to the battery as well.
2. Do I need to turn the battery leads off when not in use? Yes, you should take off a cable or add a switch. There may be a draw that will slowly discharge the battery. You should keep the battery fully charged to prolong its life.
3. How often do I need to check the water level? After you monitor it for a while, you may find that four times a year would be enough. There is no set rule because every case is different.
