We are looking at purchasing a new 366fbt. I rec'd the build sheet and the dealer said the color will be "travertine" on the one they have coming in. I can't find any references to 2018 Durango Golds with a color of travertine. Has anyone heard or seen the color choices for 2018?

I have a 2018 Durango Gold and travertine is not a color option that I am aware of inside or out.
Interior or exterior?? Are you getting full body paint on the exterior? Not sure what they call the full paint but it isn't travertine.
While at the rally we went to the factory and saw a prototype Durango Gold. The exterior color scheme was about the same, Ivory base color gel coat fiberglass. the graphics were the same design with a medium pastel blue swoosh instead of gray. On the interior the flooring was the same as the 2017/2018, the countertops were slightly different. The 2017/2018 are white with gray accents, the prototype had more accent color (still gray). The prototype carpeting was gray instead of beige, furniture was Alabaster (cream) same as 2017/2018 and minor changes to the window treatments. All in all inside and out nothing real shocking in décor.
How ever there were things that will be coming on the new models that we are not privy to talk about yet. They will debut at the Hershey show. we were not permitted to take photos of the interiors and are not supposed to talk about them. I could tell you but then I would have to kill you, so sorry you will have to wait. Should have come to the rally then you would know. You can view the new color graphics for the Durango Golds by looking at the rally photos.
These will be running changes and most likely will still be 2018 models until about March of 2018, then they become 2019's

Oh man, back to the dark chairs? Hopefully it's only that particular color scheme. When we ordered ours, my wife and I fought through our dealer to get a beige couch and chairs instead of the dark brown. When it came in the dealer said that everyone, including people at KZ, loved the look with the lighter chairs. It made the interior feel so much lighter.

johnr I believe you can still get the beige couch and chairs instead of the dark brown, in the link I think that was just what they had. Both jetzen a I along with the other one other Durango Golds at the rally all had beige ... Even the new Durango Gold models we saw that is coming out had beige couch and chairs instead of the dark brown It sure brighten up the inside with the beige couch and chairs instead of the dark brown, I know that jetzen made them change his couch and chairs from the dark to the beige. When we bought ours it already had the beige couch an chairs otherwise we would not possible have bought ours because of the dark colors Chuck & Hildi in Ohio

Thanks everyone. For us the darker furniture would work better. We like to hunt and fish and have a dog. So I'm afraid the lighter color would get dirty easily. I have a call into KZ and am going to check with them. I have the vin so they should be able to tell me what the color will be. Again thank you all.

chuck and Jetzen, I guess lynda and i just have different tastes! when we bought our 2017 266fb, we loved the darker cabinets and flooring. looked at a 2018 that just hit the lot and didn't care for the grayish color cabinets and floors. to me, the darker colors are more rich and realistic than the washed gray, but that's what makes the world go round, different strokes for different folks! I think our preference for darker colors goes back to the first 3 units we had which all had the light oak woodwork. The main thing is that YOU like the colors. No matter the colors, i think you will all enjoy and be proud of your rigs.

They do not make a color called travertine.
They make Allabaster which is light (cream) leather
Aurora which is chocolate brown leather
and galaxy which is a olive green/brown cloth
these are the color selections for the 2018 Durango Gold

Finally was able to track down the color. It is alabaster. I don't know where they came up with travertine on the build sheet! After viewing all the comments from everyone regarding the Durango Gold units we are going to try to make a deal. The dealer said this unit is coming off the line this month. So if you were at the rally you might have seen the start of this one at the factory! :0 Our local dealer has one but it has a generator which we don't need. (Already have one.) They aren't willing to take it out. So going to deal with a dealer in Spokane, WA. We will see what happens. Wish us luck and good negotiating skills.

We have two dogs, a great Dane (165pds) and a small dog (55pds), we have the lighter colors in furniture, but the dark cabinets an white counter tops along with a single sink We do not use the davenport because that is the Great Danes bed LOL, he takes up the complete thing when he wants to an pushes the smaller dog off ... We have had no trouble keeping it clean, however we did put blankets over it but most times he wades them up Ugh ... So I can tell you the lighter colors stand up to big dogs Chuck & Hildi in Ohio

Wish us luck and good negotiating skills. mtcowgirl Not to push you a little but a statement was made at the Rally that a price increase may be coming soon in the new models .... Make sure you read thought all the remarks within the Durango Gold folder very well, thus you have the knowledge base when dealing with your dealer .... Make sure the stove light on all burners, as well there is a secret if you were to have made jetzen stove class at the rally you do not need to use a long stick match or lighter to light your stove if it's a Suburban ... Make sure all the cabinet doors open an close without an drop in them from loose latches, also that the TV antenna works on "Air". make them show you ir works, I had a bad antenna an didn't know it Ugh .... Take your time, our PDI took over 4 hours, turn, pull, tweek, crawl all over the unit, go under, go over, go inside an out, do not let them hurry you, if you have a question make them answer it to the point you understand it completely .... Also there is an option tto get Goodyear tires, it will cost you an extra $1.500 I believe it but well worth every penny, they will not tell you this when ording most times ... Chuck & Hildi in Ohio

Thanks for all the good advice. We have new Michelin tires on our current 5er and want the dealer to put them on the new trailer (same size). We are $1700 apart so doing some thinking. We aren't opposed to traveling to get a new unit. Went from Montana to Arkansas to get our Ram 5500 and saved $7,000. But after reading about the warranty service on a unit that you didn't buy from local dealer a little concerned. As it is our "closest" dealer is 120 miles away and Spokane is 198 miles. So still not close!

Ok well one of the other members on this group has had a number of problems with ordering a Venom from the dealer in Spokane to the point he gave up Ugh ! We got a great price from Tacoma RV in Tacoma, younger Salesman know their stuff, older Salesman not so good, when asking the older salesman about how our trailer TV worked he said all the techs had gone home for the day. One of the younger salesman came along while I was asking the older salesman the question, I had talked with this younger salesman before when we were buying our 5th wheel, I ask the same question, he took me out to a trailer like mine and showed me how it worked ... I will tell you the service department is sort of lacking, they are very busy an most service appointments are backed up one or two months out from March thought Sept do to the volume of RV's they sell ... Looking at there site they do not have a 366fbt in stock but a number of others, but they still have some good price's so you might look or call them, ask for for Hayes Mundell, tell him Chuck & Hildi who bought the G384FLT at the Tacoma RV Show this past year sent you. He is very knowledgeable with no BS, he is a straight shooter an knows his product pretty darn well ... www.tacomarv.com/default.asp?page=xAllInventory&vc=fifth%20wheel#page=xAllInventory&vc=fifth%20wheel&make=kz%20rvEdd505 really likes Fun County RV -Anthony TX -- www.funcountryrvs.com/ he stated he will never buy another trailer from any other dealer from now on ... Are they far away, yes, but if you are 150 miles from your selling dealer you can call Kz Customer Service and they will direct you to a dealer who repair your trailer ... Or you can come to the Kz Rally an get warranty work done as well Chuck & Hildi in Ohio

They now list Travertine as a color choice on the Durango Gold. I knew about this back when you originally ask because I was able to see it at the rally on a prototype but at the time we were all sworn to secrecy about the new stuff. But now that the new catalog/brochures are out I guess it is OK to blab about it.
