We have a 2017 Escape (160RBT) that came with a "closet" beside the fridge. There was a bar for hanging, but no shelves and we don't hang clothes when we camp. My husband removed the bar and mounted it farther back and a little higher so we could add a hanging clothes sorter. It worked great and there is room for some command hooks on each side to hang things.

We took our 2017 Escape Hybrid out for a shakedown trip this week and my only disappointment was the mattresses. I knew they weren't regular bed mattresses, but they were very lacking. Honestly the mattresses in our popups were more comfortable....I expected more out of the hybrid.

We finally had a chance to take it out for a few days this week and loved it! We live about 74 miles from Disney World, so Fort Wilderness seemed liked a great place for a shakedown trip. It was so easy to get ready to leave, even though we live in an apartment and have to store it off site. My husband just pulled it up in the parking lot and we moved things directly to the camper. We did learn that we need to be careful where things go as a few things bounced around during the drive, but nothing was damaged. When we had our popup it was such a chore to pack and unpack...this was nothing compared to that. I think we offloaded everything at the apartment in 15 minutes! My only complaint is the mattresses. To call them mattresses is quite a stretch, it was like sleeping directly on the wood frame so we'll be investing in some mattress toppers before our next trip.

We insured our popup campers through our auto insurance with USAA, but now that we have the KZ hybrid I'm wondering if we're properly covered using the auto insurance. How have you insured your trailer?

We just bought a 2017 e160RBT, which replaced the e18RBT I think, and it's GVWR is 3,500.

My husband and I bought one this weekend at the Tampa RV show and will hopefully take possession this weekend at the dealer. We would love to see how others have modified and added storage in these and similar units. We can't wait to take our first trip!

My husband and I are the proud new owners of a 2017 Escape hybrid! We went to the show in Tampa this weekend and after looking at two other units, decided that KZ was the way to go. We've owned 2 popups and enjoyed camping in them, but the time and trouble it too to pack and unpack them wasn't worth it. I'm looking forward to seeing how you've modified yours and what we do with ours....we took measurements and haven't even taken possession yet!
