Well, I must be the exception.... I downloaded the new app and it is working flawlessly. Quite frankly, its nice! The only problem I had was when I initially tried the app, I could not connect it via wi-fi. Turns out, it was a typo on my part as I forgot to input the _(underscore) in the SSID network name. Be sure that you input the SSID name and Password EXACTLY as it is on the router. Mine happens to be all caps. Once you are connected, it automatically logs you in and then you can run all of your devices that you could with the old app! Hope this helps!

I own a 318RLT with the electric fireplace, and I too had trouble with it. The best advice I can give you is what I did, YouTube! This is much better than any service I could have received from any of the dealers. If you have any mechanical inclination, there are some fantastic videos on anything you would like to do with the fireplace. Once you have ID'd the unit, do a search for that model and there is a plethora of information available! Good luck!

With all respect NVguy, My 50k+ spent on an RV or an truck/auto is still my money. When I expect a fair deal for a premium cost, it is a fair comparison! The dealer is still a representative of the product they sell. The dealer knows this cost recovery before selling a product. The PDI should be an industry standard and the SELLING DEALER should be held accountable, not only from the customer, but the factory that is representing the product being sold! All I am saying I will go back to my original post, "Build it right the first time" . If you have inferior employees, train them or dismiss them. If you have inferior products, improve them or replace them. This is what the customers expect! I feel as I paid a premium for my coach. I could have purchased an equivalent camper, but I thought, at the time of purchase, KZ had a better product. What I found was a hurry up and ship them out the door atmosphere! This would be appropriate if it was built correct the first time! Also this will result in returning customers, not only from a product standpoint, but also a dealer support standpoint, (parts). The manufacturer has a responsibility, to the dealer, to provide a quality product. The dealer has a responsibility to the customer, to provide the quality that is provided by the manufacturer. If the quality is not there, well I guess that says where the next RV and dealer supporting parts will be purchased huh? My money can spend anywhere, I decided at the time to support KZ and THEIR representative. Not what I found. Sorry

Just a few of the items that SHOULD have been taken care of by the dealer:
Replace slide lag bolts. Broken from the start Repair stereo wiring, shorted on the aluminum frame Hot water/ Cold water in outside kitchen (plumbed backward) Flooring / Chairs (anchors to keep them from flying during transit) torn flooring and carpet is/was the result Air duct work for cold air return and heat supply (fell off, and/or not even fastened) Door Cylinder on water panel – ripped out (3 times so far) Cable TV issues, wrong, incorrect cabling Weather stripping blowing loose (65mph strip over the screw moulding blew off on highway) Fireplace switch- defective Adjust the kitchen slide,- roof leaks
And many more.

Just imagine..... If they would build them right the first time. KZ, if you are really interested in fixing YOUR quality problem, do that first, then fix your dealer representation for your "quality" product. A dealer selling a product, is a direct representative of that product!
According to another previous post, in anther thread, there would be "5 percent" that would complain regardless, well I am one of the 5% that spent waaay over 50k for something that I have to fix myself, not just complaining about something for the sake of complaining. Let me ask you before condemning me, IF you were to by a 50k plus tow vehicle, and it needed service every time you used it, would you not take it back to your dealer expecting it to be remedied? Or would you take it back to the factory (The infamous KZ Ralley)for them to correct it? I think not. I tend to believe that you would expect it to be fixed, the first time, with quality parts if needed, and for good, AT YOUR DEALER! Now, try that with your newly purchased RV. Every product has defects, that is understood, but c'mon, KZ, build 'em right the first time. People want a quality product, that is why the premium price is paid!
Good luck in the future with your dealer(s) and any support you may receive! ( my experience says, Yer gonna need it!)

I currently own a 2017 durango 2500 that has been a pain in the butt ever since I took ownership of it. I was looking for yet another water leak, and I discovered that the kitchen slide is not sealing at the top. I have the owners manual that tells me how to adjust the slides. My bigger question is, "Is this normal?" "Is there something else waiting to bite me too? (Frame issues?)
My selling dealer is about as useless as a rock, so I really don't have any recourse other than to fix it myself. I am trying to stay positive thru this, but it is getting increasingly more difficult. Any thoughts? Normal?

After taking delivery of our 318RLT We also did not receive the remote for the fireplace. After calling our selling dealer ,the company finally sent us ours. Since his was the first brand new one, I neglected to check to see if there was one at our delivery. I would think that any competent dealer would have made sure to make this process a smooth, and satisfying one, not a "discovery" one. Call your dealer and insist that they send you one. Your dvd/radio probably has a cell phone app, not sure. Good Luck!

I have the Ground Control 3.0, 4 point, electric jacks, leveling system on my 318RLT. So far, the leveling feature has been bulletproof and works good. I like it a lot. I do have a problem with the Hitch Height feature, as it doesn't seem to be working. When I unhitch my rig, it is my understanding that the feature will remember the height for re-hitching.
When I push this button, the front jacks extend all of the way until they error out.
Then I have to activate the main control panel and acknowledge the error.
Then lower the front of the coach to a position I can auto level it. I do understand that the first thing the feature will do is go up a bit. I do use 4x6 blocks under the front jacks for stability of the rig, so going up has never been a problem.
Is there a way to reprogram the hitch height feature that anyone knows of?

As much as I don't like seeing it come, it is inevitable that winter will soon be here. I want to protect my investment the best as I can from such. Is there a preference of storage options using a cover, or just winterizing and parking the coach. Just looking for opinions on what other RV'ers use.

Just a quick note on the original question. I had an extra water pump from an earlier RV. I hooked up the pump to the fresh water inlet and another hose down in my extra water container. Hooked up the pump to my batteries and wa-la the pump quickly filled up the tank. My drain for the fresh tank is just up to the side of my water controls, so easy to see it when full.
Her is a photo of the pump hooked up to the "water in" connection. Sweet! May have to try this as it may be a bit faster! Thanks!

There has to be an overflow / vent to allow air to escape as the tank fills, methinks it is one in the same, most likely as previously mentioned the uncapped red tube. All the waste tanks are vented to the roof. The potable water tank "should" have 2 different lines an overflow and a drain. The overflow would originate at the top of the tank and the drain from the bottom. The drain would have a petcock. OK, After a quite lengthy investigation,(above the plastic cardboard on the bottom of the coach), I found the vent hose. In the haste to build the coach, yet another "close is good enough" find. It indeed was on the tank, but it was not protruding from the bottom. It is now. The hole in the plastic cardboard, that I presume was for that very thing, was sealed shut by the foam sealer that is used to fill around openings and the overflow hose was deflected to the side. It is now thru the bottom as it should have been, and re-sealed. I apologize for the negativity in my posts, but for 55K, I shouldn't have to search for a drain hose, among other "Close is good enough" things. Thank you for the info on where things should be. I sincerely appreciate it.

Hi. You should have a fresh water tank overflow beneath your RV. Mine is a small red flex pipe in front of the fresh water tank drain. When water comes out of that pipe, your tank is full. Is that not the drain?

Thank you gentlemen, Initially I was leery of trying the pump option due to pressure created by the pump. It indeed did fill the tank utilizing the pump. I am OK with this as I now have a way of filling my tank from my portable tank. I wont need to move the coach to fill the water tank. It takes a while, actually about the same time as a good siphon would. I am still thinking about adding a supply line as a safety and convenience for me. I wish they still put these back in. My fault for not looking for that option when purchasing the coach. The only drawback to this, that I can see, is I have no way of telling when the tank is full. I will have to trust the level meters, or just put in 1 portable tank at a time. If I put water in via the pump, and the tank fills full, it will pressurize the tank to normal line pressure, and these tanks are not capable of pressure.

Gentlemen, I have no trouble winterizing my rig. What I do have a problem with is getting water to gravity feed into my fresh water tank. As I originally stated, I would like to gravity flow from my holding tank on the truck to my holding tank on the coach when there is no "pressurized" city water available. My tank sets higher than the tank in the coach, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem. I am thinking there is a back flow check valve in the feed line??? Does anyone have any ideas how this could be accomplished? johnr, I do not have separate switches on my board, it is identical to the picture that jetzen has posted. Thanks!

I recently purchased the '17 Durango 2500 318RLT. I want to fill my water tank via a transfer tank from my truck, gravity feed. I see they have now removed the fresh water fill tube from the tanks. How does one go about getting water into the tank by gravity feed?
