I agree with you. I am going to add them. Would have done it today if it weren't for the weather today. I am going to install them in a way that I can easily remove them and the dealer is none the wiser. In the case something goes really wrong with the fridge. I have piggybacked spade connectors to put on the 12v fridge hot and ground connectors.

Doesn't that figure! Who does quality control for these manufacturers? Well at least you had the sense to notice the problem and correct it. Since you mentioned it, I am going to give mine a look tomorrow. Than you for the input.

Hello all. I just purchased a 2017 Durango Gold 382MBQ, and am about to leave on our maiden voyage in 2 days. Heading to Disney for the Easter Break and then some. This is the first fiver or any unit for that matter that has the side fridge vents because it is installed in the slide. All the other ones were roof vented or residential fridge.
Being that I am leaving from NY where it is in the 50's to Orlando, where it is going to be in the 80's, I have read that if the OEM Fan cannot move the heat adequately out of the vents, you will have temperature loss in the fridge/freezer. I opted to buy 2 computer fans, and planned to install them above the stack, and below the top vent, to help move the heat out. It came with a 130* thermostat, so the installed fans will not run constantly. I have not installed them yet because I wanted to see if the one fan installed at the factory will do the job. It should not take me but 20 minutes to wire in the fans if need be.
SO with this all said, for those of you with this type of fridge vent, do you feel your fridge's temperature remains adequate in higher ambient temperatures?
Appreciate any input. Just want to see what I should expect. Thank you.

Looking at getting generator for my 366FBT. Started looking at Honda EU3000IS first , then after getting consulted not sure now. My unit has ( 2 ) 15k btu A/C w/heat pumps. Would only run one A/c until purchase additional EU3000. Figured in microwave, water heater + additional power items. Was told EU3000IS is to small for load. Then looked at Honda EU7000IS. This genni will run camper just fine as I'm told. Now I see that I can put Cummins Onan 5.5. Only problem is don't want LP unit. Looking further in Cummins manual under fuel system accessories P.72. I can get a gasoline tank kit. Is this possible to work and get away from LP. Although the Honda eu3000is is a great generator and great tool all around, it will not be able to support the condenser start up watts on a 15k A/C. If you use 2 eu2000, with one being a Companion with the 30A outlet, then it will support it. However, it will be running at max the entire time the A/C is running. The next step up is the Honda 7000. Which will do anything your want. However, considering the 3000 is about 135 lbs, the weight of carrying it around and such would be a big issue for me. The Onan may be the way to go for your power needs.

Chuck, thank you for checking. And I know what you mean about glasses. I am up to a microscope for my eyes!
I am sure that it is the toggle switch. I will change it out next week. The reason I asked about the sconce LED's is because I could not figure out how to remove the LED assembly for the life of me. I know they claim they last years. However, in my experience, they seem to last year, singular. Just trying to be proactive.

I am running the Saliun 235/80/r16 load range G as well. I had them on my last fiver. I had over 9,000 miles on them, including a trip from NY to the west coast and back. And the treat and tire looked unblemished. I just put them on my new DG.
The thing about E range ST tires is that they all have a speed rating of 65mph max. If you are running at that speed, you are at the max. The G range ST give you 75 mph max. I typically do not go over 65 anyway. However, there is a cushion of 10 mph. Another useful tool you can get is a TPMS. Works great for me. I have the Tire Minder brand.

I am all about convenience and fitment in my never ending old age! I bought the folding 6' A frame ladder from CW. It is a bit over $110. However, it is one of those tools I could not be without as I am always using it. It folds like a scissor if you will. The length I the only thing you have to contend with. I am sure you could find it cheaper. Just using the CW add as reference. www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/regal-folding-aluminum-single-sided-stik-ladder-6/85200Also, to the question that it will take some time to take down the straps in the case of sudden weather. You can, in a pinch, disconnect the straps from the tensioner, closer to the ground, and roll the straps up on the outside portion of the roller of the awning. I would only use this method in the case of sudden weather. The other option is to be neurotic like me and check the weather reports of the day a night and be proactive with the awning.

Agreed, level it first and see if it engages. Assuming you are level, and it still does not engage, and the door is level(put a level to it), then all you may need to do is move the striker plate slightly whichever way it needs to to engage the latch. Like jetzen said, don't waste your time taking it to the dealer for something simple like that. Unless you find a major issue or a litany of problems. Your time is worth a lot after all! Good Luck!

I am not sure what the max pressure are of the OEM aluminum rims. However, I can tell you that I did change the OEM E's for ST G's, on my own dime at a reputable tire installer. And they would not install the tires if they were not rated for the rims. I think KZ wanted like $1500 for G's from the factory. I have been using Saliun 637 ST 235/80/R16 on my last 2 units without issue. I even went cross country, NY to west coast and back, on these and the tread still looked new. And I immediately installed them on my new DG. Give them a look if you are not sure which brand to use. They go for around $150 and can be found at Simple Tire or Trailertiresandwheels.com. I agree with you about the E's not being able to take the weight.

The reason I ask is because one of the 2 sconces were flickering, and then finally came on constant after about 30 minutes. It may be a faulty toggle switch, as it is operated by that and wall switch. However, I cannot see how you would remove the LED assembly from the sconce without taking it completely apart. And I would hate to drive 180 miles one way for just that. It is new, I will probably find more issues with it as I use it to justify bringing her in.
I did not think about letting the kids give it a go. I never thought I would need so much help for a light bulb! LOL

This is what I use. Especially at the beach.
Camco 42013 Power Hook Awning Tensioner
Just note that the screw in stakes do not come with it. You can find them on Amazon as well. Regular tent stakes will just pull out of the ground. I went with this one because the part that fits to the roller is contoured to the roller with part of it 'locking' into the channel in the roller. IMOP it works real well. As a rule of thumb, if I am away from my fiver for an extended period, I put the awning in.

For any of you that have this feature, how do you change the LED in it?
I thought I would ask before I turned this into an affair. Thank you.

Also note that the ST E Rated Tires have a speed rating of 65mph! I typically do not go over 65 anyway. However, with the G Rated Speed Rating at 75mph, it gives a little cushion.
I also invested in the Tire Minder TPMS. And it works great. Another worthy investment. Upgrading tires and TPMS System is financially justified. Especially if you have damage on your unit from a blown China Bomb OEM Tire. It only took one blow out with damage 13 years ago to make up my mind!

Thank you Fellas. I do have those plastic cribbing blocks that I carry with me. I was trying to se if there was a way to avoid hooking back up to place them under the wheels. I believe I tried every way I could. Even blocks on either side, under the jacks. It seemed good in theory. Appreciate the input. Be well.

Thank you. I was just trying to eliminate a step. As I said, I am not as clever as I used to be. I will just get it somewhat level before I unhook. Thanks for reading. Be well!

Hello all. I have a question regarding Auto Leveling my DG 382MBQ. I have the new Myrv system in my fiver. It really does not make a difference, as my question would simply pertain to auto level of any sort. This is my first fiver with hydraulic jacks and 6 jacks. I was on a site slightly off level and down to the passenger side. When I auto leveled it, the tires on the passenger side lifted off the ground. I am not too comfortable with this, as any number of issues can occur. I am not as clever as when I was a young man.
Is there a to avoid the tires lifting, without hooking back up, retrieving the jacks, and putting some cribbing under the affected side tires?
Any input you may have would be a big help as well as appreciated. Thank you!

I always change out the OEM Garbage Tires as soon as I get my hands on it. With the weight of my DG 382MBQ, I am more comfortable with a Load Range G Tire than E. On my previous fiver, I used Sailun 637's. I put about 10,000 miles on them. Including a cross country trip NY to west coast and back. The tread held up great and there were no signs of issue. Yes they come from China. But not too many tires today, especially ST Tires, are manufactured elsewhere. They are also affordable in the $150 a tire range. Do not let the price fool you into thinking these are cheap tires. IMHO, they are very well made and keep their tread longer. Check Simple Tire. That is where I got mine. Good Luck!

Before I purchased my 17 DG 382MBQ, I called KZ about them adding a coax line to the loft in mine, as there was an outlet there already. Their reply was that once the engineers settle on the plans for a model, they do not stray from those plans. They will only make changes if they change the plans to that particular model. What looks good on paper does not always make it practical in reality. I would call them anyway, it clearly needs to be changed. If any changes are to be made, I would start with the dealer. And my dealer was able to add that coax line to the loft in mine.

Do you have the MyRV Control Panel?
If I may, did you do a walk through or Demo at the dealer when you bought it? I ask because that is included in the price of your unit typically.
