I have the 355 and have no issues. Yes, you could manually crank the slide in or out in an emergency. You only have to open the slide about half way to get in the refrigerator. All runs on the 12 volt system.

Thanks everyone for the pictures. I had a duct come off also. The one that served the bathroom and front bedroom. It caused the heat to build up so much in the heater area that the electronic board shorted out in the heater. Dealer diagnosed promptly and covered under warranty.

The video is true. Quick turns both forward and reverse. Eliminates most "chucking". Many people shy away due added cost.

I have used the Fifth Airborne Sidewinder on my first 5th wheel for seven years and now on my current Durango Gold. Both dealer installed at purchase.

I have never seen a standard height at a service station that serves cars. Be careful. At facilities for 18 wheelers normally are 13 ft or higher. On the road with my 5th wheel, I use truck stops to avoid the issue.

You hit on one of the key elements of breaker tripping, 100 + degrees. I have had many different types of RVs and all 30 amp until my current Durango that is 50 amps. All of my 30 amp units exhibited your same symptoms when trying to run two or more high watt devices at the same time. Whether it be microwave and ac, electric skillet and ac, etc., when temps push into the high 90s, breakers trip. Another issue can be the quality of the electric current. High temperatures cause loads to increase in RV parks which can lead to lower than ideal volts and amps thus putting your equipment in stressful conditions. Many RV parks do not run large enough cables for extreme loads.
Another thought is that while you are under these conditions would be run the water heater on gas during the day and switch to electricity during the night when conditions are better.
Good luck and good camping!

I agree with Loanshark. I bought it with my new rig. One issue with the hydraulic system or major appliance will cover the cost.

Hi spreevilla, the Reese Elite Airborne Sidewinder eliminates the worry of sharp turns forward or reverse. When backing, it makes the turn initiate faster. Comes in great when I back in my Durango Gold at the storage place. All done with a standard hitch in your truck. The airborne feature virtually eliminates "chucking".
Knowlege is power. Do your research. Happy Camping!

I have used the 5th Airborne Sidewinder on two 5th wheels. It gives you air ride and turning ability without the worry of your cab hitting the trailer.

It is an option. The dealer appeared to have ordered most of their Gold's that way. It also came with the 18 cu ft stainless steel AC/propane powered refrigerator. All well worth the extra cost up front.

Welcome to the site. We love our Durango Gold 355RLT. Love the easy setup with the six point hydraulic leveling system. Pulls great. This is our second fifth wheel. I have owned several travel trailers also.
I do not believe you will be disappointed.

Try contacting Charlie at cwade@kz-rv.com He was a great factory Rep resource when I bought my Durango Gold 355 RLT at Ketelsen Campers in Denver. By the way, Ketelsen keeps a great selection. Their website is: wegocamping.com

Just a thought here, some if not all tanks have a high flow cut off in the event of a line rupture. If you open the tank valve too fast the high flow limit will engage not allowing the propane to flow. Try opening the tank valve slowly to see if that will help. I once had some tanks that caused me issues similar to you.
Good luck.
