Extreme NewB here....
Wondering how to manually operate the fantastic fan vent - The knob allows for opening of the vent itself, but how do I get the fan to operate? I ask because I cannot get the remote to operate this fan unit in the living room (bathroom one is fine)
Thanks in advance for any help.

Other then making sure you have good batteries in the remote I have no suggestions. Make sure the cover is closed before turning it on by remote--the lid opens automatic when turned on with the remote. Maybe there is a switch hooked up to the lid that will not let the remote start it if the lid is already open or there might be a small switch in the fan that needs to be switch to on---just guessing and throwing out suggestions. You can always look up fantasic fans on the internet and find information on it that might help.

If it's the same remote that I have, it's a little funny. The power button has 2 modes:
First press: automatic, the lights on the side control the temperature you want the RV to be. So the lower the number, the faster the fan will spin. Second press: manual, the lights on the side indicate the speed you want the fan to run at. So, the higher the number, the faster the fan will spin (opposite from above).
I always switch mine to manual and then run the fan at 100%. Make sure you have a window opened somewhere.

Thank you! Changed batteries, learned the funkiness of the remote from the one in the bathroom (learned real quick too because that fan started running so fast I though it was going to take off and fly)... the lights all light up on the remote for the living room, but nothing happens at all, dome wont open, fan wont run. Going to fantastic fan online, hopefully they will have some answers.... Hey it could be worse, glad I live out where there is just about constant breeze.

Got the fan figured out too - Adjusted the range on the remote, it was set to pretty much no range at all.
