Just curious to see if anyone else has a 19SBT as I haven't seen any around. It's a nice unit but I suspect not too many people like the hybrid option.

I have a friend looking at a hybrid model - not certain of the exact model. Why would you say few folks like the hybrid option?

I say it based simply on how few I've seen over the years. We had a hybrid (Thor Wanderer) previously but it was pretty much destroyed by a hail storm. When looking for a replacement hybrids were few but we wouldn't consider anything else right now. Tell your friend to look at the 19SBT, it has fold-down beds on both ends.

I know this is kind of an old thread but we actually just purchased a 19SBT. Initially we were shopping for a popup but realized how "useless" it becomes when its not set up. With a hybrid, we would be able to use everything but the beds at a whim without needing to setup. Another plus with the hybrid is that if the weather goes extremely bad, there is still some room to sleep without popping out the beds.
You are correct in stating that there are very few hybrids. There were very few in our area and even fewer with a single axle, 3500GVW, and dual pop out beds. We probably could have gone with a 17RBT but we didn't want to pass up on the 19SBT since they were hard to come by.

I had a popup before the escape 196s. And liked the openess of the canvas beds. Considered a hybrid. Actually looked at a roo , but was heavy in weight, besides i didnt want to worry about wet canvas anymore so opt for the darkside. Congrads on your new rig

We bought a 16' Sportsman hybrid in September because of the versatility. When bringing the grandkids to a local state park we use the tent beds on both ends but when it is just the two of us we don't bother setting up either tent and just drop the table for sleeping. We just finished a trip from Florida to California and back and it worked great. We looked at a popup because you can garage store it but we do a lot of 'Walmart Camping' while going cross country and you cannot 'discrete' camp in a popup. A 16RBT gives us the best of both worlds.
