after 1 year and 9 months of fairly heavy use (well 0ver 120 nights and close to 10,000 miles) on our 38fl, we had our 1st significant problem. Broken handle on black tank drain valve. Fortunately it broke as I was closing the valve after draining the tank and cleaning it. Also fortunate that i use an additional cut off valve at the hose hook up. I learned the hard way several years ago to mount an additional cut off valve. The Stone Ridge has a 2 year warranty so I stopped at my dealer, Berryland Campers, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana and as usual received excellent service from Lloyd, my service advisor. They replaced the valve and I was in and out in less than 3 hours total. It is another indication that I made the right choice with the Stone ridge and Berryland Campers! We had just returned from a short trip to Bouge Chitto state park. If any of you travel to south Louisiana, I recommend this park highly. Long flat sites with full hookups, in the middle of the pine forest with 75 to 100 feet between sites. The temperature range while we were there was upper 40's for the low and low 70's for the high. We're going back there again to meet some friends the 2nd week of January. Sorry about that, yankees! Don't hate us, just come down here and visit with us. Anyway, we're very happy with our unit after a lot of use, and that says a lot for the KZ product. It really aggregates me when I get on the general rv websites and they make it sound as if any unit less than 100k in cost and 15,000 pounds weight is junk and not suitable for full timers. I think the Stone ridge can hold it's own with them and provide excellent value for the dollar.
