We want to convert our toy hauler ramp into a fresh-air area for our dogs or sitting area for two. KZ will not sell us the cable kit for this modification as they say the door would need to be replaced with the heavier door sold with their patio kit. I am willing to accept responsibility and waiver of warranty for this modification. I am wondering if anyone else has made this modification?

So they made a loading ramp that you can drive a motorized vehicle on while riding on it, but you can't sit on a five pound chair?

That is exactly what they are saying. Strange but true!

The attachment points may be the issue. With all the weight connected at just two points that are not reinforced might cause failure. Perhaps you could come up with a way to use adjustable stands for support.

Shoot, jack stands with padding on them would work as well Safe Travels Chuck
