The campground now has an answering service. If you get a prerecorded message when trying to reserve, leave a message and ask for Casey and explain what you want with your name and a telephone number where you can be reached.
DO NOT USE THE ONLINE RESERVATION SYSTEM. You will not be placed with the rally and will not get the rally rate.
Well, I think we are signed up for the rally. Called the campground and left a message on Monday. Received a callback on Tuesday and gave them contact and credit card information. But, haven't received a confirmation email. Emailed filled out registration form and sent to the wagonmaster on Wednesday. So now I guess we wait until the rally events agenda is published and rally costs are determined. Looking forward to August Larry & Kathy

If you can spend some extra time in Shipp.... you might want to camp next to the flea market...that way, you can come and go as you please. Check the days the Flea Market is open. The campsites were full hook-ups. I just checked their website and they do take reservations online and also have a store.....not the case when we were there several years ago. The flea market is huge...all day or several days depending on how long you like to shop in a day....lots of vendors. Might have to set up a reservation and do some shopping.

Thanks Chuck. Looking forward to meeting lots of new people. Question seeing what "bluegrass 2" commented, so how far is the Rally from the flea market? I thought it was close, like walking distance.

The flea market is just down the street from the rally campground. Maybe 1/2 a mile or so.

Hey, Thanks for that information about proximity of CG to Flea Market. The rally we attended was at another CG. This will be great. So looking forward to meeting all.

Yep
As rvdude stated it is within walking distance if you like to walk, believe me you will do lots of walking in the flea market which opens only a couple of days (Tuesday & Wednesday) during the week ...
Also staying at the flea market an not the camp grounds will leave you out of the activities that go on during the rally ... The rule you must have your trailer an stay at the camp grounds were the rally is held is for a reason. Thus you do not miss out on meeting with Kz managers an Kz repair techs, The MorRyde rep who has a display on site, other presentations from venders, the Lippert (LCI) techs an people an if needed getting warranty service done on your site ...
I would say if you are there after or before the rally then it may be a good idea, but during the rally the rule is if you do not have a trailer there you are not be able to partake in the activities or tours ...
I know this sounds harsh, but it's for a reason as I have listed in one of my other posts, once you attend you will see why. There is always something going on all week long, from the morning coffee get together, till the evening an at times late night camp fire discussions an get together's ...
All the sites at the rally are gravel pull thoughts, have full hookups, small but nice lawns an picnic tables an your not to close to your neighbor...
All sites are kept well mowed very clean, if fact when a site is cleared by a trailer they mow the grass an check the site to make sure it is clean an neat very quickly ... There are BTW over 100 pull thought sites ...
Safe Travels
Chuck

Good point Chuck, as I said if you "can spend some extra time" the Flea Market CG is a good option. Also, be sure to check which days they will be open.
