I just got news yesterday that we have added at least one more attendee. That makes at least 12 rigs. Please try to come if possible.

Really excited about the Rally. Do you have any estimates as to our expenses beyond the campground costs?

We are planning one meal at a restaurant and a trip to the Rv museum, both at attendee's expense. One night will be a " potluck" supper. Those are the only "organized" activities planned as of now that would involve additional expense. The plans as of now are for a trip to the kz facility on Friday , and it is my understanding that kz will be providing a lunch for us there also. We are going to try and keep things pretty informal, so that we can do side trips or other activities on our on as small groups or couples. Off the top of my head, I'd say no more than $100 over "normal" expenses. Right now we have about a dozen rigs expected, so about 25 folks. That should be a good group for everyone to meet each other and spend some time together. Also we will probably have some kz folks with us a good bit of the time. Have attended several rallys in the past, but the opportunity to interact with factory decision makers will make this truly unique. I'm really looking forward to meeting them and each of you.

If I understand things correctly, the factory tour will be Friday and a lunch may be involved so I'm assuming around noon, correct. The campground owner said folks will be checking in on Friday and check-in is at 1 pm. Where shall we meet to go to the factory and at what time. Will we check in after the tour?

Okay, talked to Dave Boggs at kz and he said that we will gather at the kz office at 11:30 am on Friday October 4th. We will have a lunch, tour a couple of the factories, and have a question and answer sessions with company execs and engineer. Also, we will have opportunities to talk with throughout the 3 days of the rally. Also, Dave has offered attendees the opportunity to have factory techs come to the campground and make repairs/adjustments to your unit on Thursday and the following Monday. To set up an appointment, pleas e-mail dboggs@kz-Rv.com with your model and vin number. If you are arriving on Friday 10/4, try together the campground yo let you check in early. If not, you can come direct to kz and check in the campground after the functions at the factory. They will also have several different models Of kz units for us to tour. Hopefully this will work for everyone.

Are there plans for a pot-luck dinner or pot-luck snacks for get-togethers at camp? Just thinking about what to bring extra. If dinner, which night?

Right now, thinking of Saturday night. Everyone going to a local restaurant on Friday night after day at kz. This is not written in stone and subject to change. Any input is welcome. We will be a relatively small group, so we can be flexible. I will be there probably Monday and will finalize plans with kz folks then. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Thanks for your response. Sounds good, I will bring ingredients for something for dinner potluck...other things too. We will be at Flea Market CG on Tuesday and Wednesday nights but plan to stop over to the KZ rally CG one or both nights to get info as it is available. We will definitely be checked in to the KZ rally CG on Thursday during the day. We are really looking forward to the Rally. See you then.

Are there any plans as yet for Sunday? Being in Amish Country, I know that many places are closed. Just wondering if most were leaving on Sunday or Monday.

Looks like everyone is leaving Monday. I have nothing formal planned for Sunday. Probably just sit around and visit with each other. If you have any ideas, I'm open to suggestions.

Don't know about everyone else but we're just going to be flexible about staying Sunday. It'll be a chance to get to know each other a little better. I'll throw the cornhole boards in the back of the truck.

Heads up for those traveling to the rally with diesel rigs. As of 9/1/13 you cannot fuel up at the commercial truck islands in Indiana unless you have a DOT number. This has something to do with how commercial vehicles pay the fuel tax on a monthly basis instead of paying at the pump. Supposedly Flying J/Pilot will still accommodate RV's, but you must have their RV Rewards card to activate the pump/charge your fuel. Your only options are to get diesel fuel in the car lanes (if you can fit in and get out) or get fuel before you enter Indiana. I plan to fill up before entering the state and will refill when the truck is unhitched from the trailer.
