Hi All - just got my "new to me" Sportsmen Classic TT and so far so good. Been having fun checking it out and figuring out where to put everything after 22 years with the smallest size Coleman popup. One big question - the sink has an indentation in it and is just begging for a cutting board to fit into it. But damn if I can't find a ready-to-go cutting board on etrailer, camco, amazon, etc. Anyone already solve this problem or have a source you can refer me to? Thanks!

Have you tried the dealer where you got the trailer? On my 2007 KZ Jag, my dealer had the ones that fit in the sink and they were the proper color to match the countertop.

Yep, there should have been a sink cover with your trailer, either the last person didn't leave it with the trailer or when they cleaned the trailer they left it out As rvdude stated you might check with the dealer who sold you the trailer, if they are not a Kz Dealer check on the internet for the nearest Kz dealer or google you model of trailer an a number of Kz dealers will I'm sure popup ... They sink covers boards a hard plastic an if you have get one a number of states away it shouldn't cost you a arm an leg ... I all fails call Kz Customer service an ask if you can buy one from them or next year come to the Kz Rally about a mile from the Kz factory, you never know one may popup next to your trailer or even in your sink Safe travels Chuck & Hildi in S Dakota headed for the Barn PS almost forgot, when we traded out last 5th wheel in we put our sink covers below the sink in a cabinet shelf

We have a 2013 Classic 190 which didn't have a sink cover either. We bought a cutting board at a discount store It is a little bigger than the sink. When using the sink, we place it over the stove and use it to hold the dish drainer.

I have a very similar sink, and I thought the same thing. I bought a large plastic cutting board from Walmart, then made a template of the sink with cardboard. I could trim up the corners and get the shape right. Then I traced that onto the cutting board and cut it out with a jig saw.
The end result was not as good as I wanted, but I blame that on a jig saw that was my grandfathers. It fits well, and is a basic white. If I get a new saw I might have another go at it.

I also created a cover for the two burner stove top to give some extra counter space. I got a nicer wood cutting board, just larger than the stovetop. Got a dowel rod 0.5 inch across and cut some short legs with rubber feet on them and attached them with some black screws I had. Came out really good and was about $25 cheaper than any I saw from the camping stores.
When we need to use the stove top, just flip it up and the legs help hold it up behind the stove to make a backsplash. When we are traveling I flip it upside down and throw it on the bed.

Thanks all for your input. I guess I'm surprised this is so hard to find since there is clearly an inset in the sink that is begging for something to go into it! I found a good company online cuttingboards.net who could make me a custom sink inset board, but the cost was around $100 and while I don't find that price too high, I decided to go another route. I had them make me a large bamboo cutting board and attached 2" furniture legs to it. This is along the lines of what frontrangefish did - I can place this over the cook top and then put my dish strainer on it while doing dishes, but I can also place it completely over the sink area and have an expanded cooking area as well. And since it is large (24" x 18-1/2") this is a good solution because otherwise I would have to find some place to stash it. No need to it - seems we are either cooking or cleaning, but not both at the same time.

I bought a product called Azack from the lumber yard. Its a sheet of PVC you can get in 3/8 and 1/2 inch thick. I made cutting boards for my indoor and outdoor kitchen, filet boards for cleaning fish. The product is actually for exterior trim on a house. If you buy it, you will find it works for many different projects. Maybe have someone go in on the cost of a sheet or find a contractor that has some scraps they are willing to part with. Just yesterday I cut down a piece to mount a depth finder on a boat. It works great for the sinks. Its white and can be painted.
