When my RV was new and I had trouble with the service department, I called the salesman and complained. My case may be somewhat unique because he was one of the owners of the dealership. Let me tell you, he wasn't happy to hear what I had to say and the service department hasn't ignored me since. I called AND emailed my salesman after the first two weeks. I got absolutely nothing in return.

doublewa Sometimes this will help, but unfortunately most times not always your salesman won't even know who you are, in fact he may not even be there any more. The last time I was at the dealership we bought are 5th wheel from our salesman along with another young salesman were gone, when ask all i got was that they had moved on ... In this day an age with trailer sales booming you would think that it would be a salesman dream. Per the stats you would think that almost every person/couple who walk onto a lot are buying or upgrading to new or used units .... I have to tell you I have had better an quicker service an more respect from our local RV repair shop, turn around is a week at most two Safe Travels Chuck

That stinks. Maybe you need to walk into the dealership? I already did. About a month ago. That was what it took to get a response in the first place. That was 12/14. I bought the trailer 10/8. It's now 1/26. I'm attempting to be patient, but the lack of respect by not returning my call is what is ticking me off the most. The dealer is over an hour from my house, so we are talking a 2 hour return trip and I would have to take PTO in order to do it. They aren't going to reimburse me for that, so this is turning into an absolute joke.

Nearest KZ dealer after them is another 1.5 hours past them.

I think I've posted this someplace before, but.... the Good, Bought our Durango 1500 in June of 2015 new from Apache in Lincoln, NE. took a couple of trips in it, in Sept we were loading at 3:00 pm for a 3 week trip to Door County leaving the next day and the slide wouldn't go out, just a loud thumping noise, called Apache and told them I could have it there next morning at 7:30 when they opened, they didn't hem or haw just said ok, we will look at it, but won't have the parts to fix it. We dropped it off, went to Granddaughters' Patriot Day program, returned at 11:30 and it was ready to go. The repair tech showed us a pic of the poor welding job done by slide manufacturer, he rebuilt the bracket, put it back together, and service dept made an appointment for us to have it replaced in January. They said they didn't think either KZ or Lippert would pay the cost of their repair time, but they didn't charge us either, in January, we brought the trailer in, they fixed in 2 days and we picked it up. other than some problems with window mechanisms which I fixed myself, we have had no other issues.

If I knew I could get it fixed in Lincoln, I would drive that far to get it fixed. The In-Laws are in St. Paul, so Lincoln's only another hour East. I might have to look at that this September when we go out there for the junk jaunt.

doublewa Remember if you are 150 miles away from your selling dealer you can call Kz Customer service an they will point you in the direction of a dealer who will service/fix your trailer ... I would not recommend just going to a dealer that sells Kz products other than your selling dealer an seek repairs, as many of us know an it had been stated on the form you will be told that if you didn't buy from that dealer they will not honor your warranty. They may fix your trailer but it will cost you an you may have to wait a number of week or even months Ugh I hate to say it again , you want warranty service with a smile an fast you need to come to the Kz rally ... Once you get your service needs registered with the wagon master (jetzen) on the Kz service form he will put out, the kz service people will repair, replace anything on your list an then some ... Of course warranty work comes fist an then if time the kz repair team will come back an fix other needs you may have missed writing on your form An as some owners have stated not everyone can attend the Kz rally an I as well as jetzen understand, but I as well as him put out this information so owners have a alternate way to get repairs preformed if needed at no cost to them except for their travels to the rally Here is link to a the Durango folder which has a conversation regarding service kzfamilyforum.com/thread/1552/warranty-coverageSafe Travels Chuck

I can't take time off to go to Indiana. Especially for a cabinet door. That's all this is. Just a cabinet door! KZ could mail me the thing and I can install it myself for crying out loud! That's why this is so frustrating. It's not like it's a big repair. Once I get the part, it will take longer to unpack than install. In all honesty, KZ should think about moving there rally around once in awhile to support us folks that can't go. If the rally was in, say Arizona, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, or Kansas, then I can take a 2 days off and spend some time there.
Unlike a lot of people that RV, the wife and I are in out 30's. We work 12 hours a day and are at the hieght of our careers saving for retirement. We can't just get up and go whenever we want like others (as much as we would like to).
I guess what I am saying is that I am really trying to be patient (which, as a 15 year Army Vet is tough), but I'm starting to get really agitated. Especially as I get deeper and deeper into my trailer. I'm sorry if i come off as crass, I'm just frustrated.

RE: the cabinet door. I needed a new antenna booster. There aren't any KZ dealers around here in Yuma. Besides, we're parked for 3 months. Anyway, CS said they don't normally send parts out for customer install, but they would make an exception. That's several weeks ago, if not, more. Still waiting for it. Simple install.

Really, it's kind of pathetic when you think about it. I can understand that these parts aren't just lying around like in a Napa or something, but you would think that they would be able to get that out to you within 90 days. I don't think that's too much to ask after spending 50k-100k on their product.

I could have bought one locally and they could have mailed a check. Not that expensive. Principal is the thing.

doublewa Please read the Kz rally folder for my response Chuck I did. So basically, if you don't go to the KZ Rally, you're pretty much on your own. That's what I got out of it.
