It's in great shape and we go an awesome deal!
Hoping to make it for a few days of the rally. Hubby started a new job and it may be hard for him to get away then.

Nice little rig. I suggest you replace the faucet soon. They are junk and prone to pulling out of the base which really is the pits when the water is running. Good luck, I have a 2011 Sportsmen 19BH that we got about 4 years ago and really love it.

While getting the tt ready for our first voyage last weekend, I notice a horrible smell of rotten eggs in the trailer. Figured it was the water system and we did the sanitation routine. Smell...stayed...after many flushes to the gray water tank. My husband (who's never had a camper) says is it something to do with the black tank? Low and behold I check that tank and it's full! Off to the dump station we go and cleanout ensues. So much for the "dealer" prepping and dumping the tanks. I now have learned, thought I checked everything. So just a reminder to everyone who buys a unit new or used, have your checklist and check it twice never let yourself feel rushed thru your inspection.

Wow, call that dealer up and raise some hell. That is ridiculous. I wonder if the thing was even winterized last year and that stuff was in there the entire time. There should be a flushing line under the trailer near where you connect the drain hose. Make sure you hook that up to a water source when you dump as it will push water into the black tank to flush it out good while it is draining.
YUK, YUK, YUK. Especially when it is someone elses. Your dealer should do something to compensate you or risk losing your future business as well as bad reviews in the community. They should at least give you some free service, maybe a free winterization or maybe some free RV sanitizer or something for your troubles. By the way, if your trailer is like mine was, it is not set up for winterizing at all. You have to disconnect water lines and go through hell to do it. Maybe ask them to put in a winterization kit if yours doesnt have one. You will be so happy you did when it comes time to winterize and dewinterize each year. The connections are hard to access and having to disconnect lines and reconnect others is really tough. with a winterization kit, it is just a matter of flipping a couple valves. I guess KZ saves $20 by leaving a winterization bypass kit off these economy trailers, but it is like leaving power steering off of a car.

WOW Is all I can say, your right on checking your check list during the PDI, ours was 4 hours long and I still missed one thing that I fixed myself ... Do to the fact our 5th wheel was new I sort of played a trick on the Tech when it came to the black and gray water tanks... I ask him to show me how they worked on the spot we were doing the PDI on, I said, hey it's new, the only thing that should be in the tanks is the clear water we did during test right. You could see the sweat from his forehead but he pulled the levers, nothing but clear water came out, then look at me and said, see that's how they work with a very big grin Of course I would of &%&^^ if bad stuff would have come out, but it's new trailer and was at a RV show just a few days before, would have someone used it, possibly but I was pretty sure it was clean which it was ... But I'll bet from now on that young man will check every trailer he has to do a PDI on to make sure the black an gray tanks are empty just in case an old guy like me asks him to do the same I agree on the winterize and de-winterize each year, our old 5th wheel was a pain, you had to remove a panel to get at the pump to put antifreeze in, it was worth every penny to have the local RV repair shop do the job for $65 antifreeze included Safe Travels & Don't forget about the Kz Rally this Summer Chuck

I too just purchased one of these, someone told me to put pine sol in the black tank, run the camper around then dump it...any truth to this?
Just curious what you paid for yours?

Just curious what you paid for yours? I dont see what that would hurt. You could just dump a double or triple dose of the regular blue tank stuff, add a few gallons of water and drive it around. Either should help to clean them and eliminate any odors that may have developed due to poor maintenance before you purchased it. A cup of bleach probably would work wonders too.

The blue stuff will do little to clean the tank, the Pine-sol should help. If nothing else, it will smell like someone pooped a pine tree.
If more is needed, try laundry detergent and Calgon together.

Also on your next outing buy either one or a couple of bags of ice, throe in some Calgon or as lynnmor stated laundry detergent, dump the ice in the toilet before you leave for your camping trip. Once you get to a camp grounds dump your back water tank and re-add some water along with blue stuff for smell. What this accomplishes is the ice cleans your tank and all the old crap in it by banging around the tank as you go down the road. Since you have a very small black tank more than likely one bag of ice will do the trick, but hey you can do it going to a number of camping outings till you feel it clean Chuck

Update with the dealership - they said they would winterize the tt but to be honest I'm not letting them touch my rig. All is well tanks are a clean and smelling "fresh". I won't be back to that dealership anymore. There are too many in my area to choose from. The only good thing was a good purchase price $5000. On to happy camping!!!

Happy trails Glad you got the tank thing worked out Not all dealers are the same, some good and some bad as you have experienced, but one should not blame the trailer MFG for what a dealer is good or bad, the same with appliances which some people do instead blaming the appliance MFG they try to blame the TT MFG Safe Travels & Don't forget about the Kz Rally this Summer Chuck

I grabbed my 2011 KZ Sportsmen 19Bh in 2013 for $7,000. I figured that was a good deal at the time. I hope you get as good of use out of yours as we have. And I agree, if you can do anything yourself, stay away from the dealer.

So far we've had a great time with the camper! On a side "happy" note I received in the mail a $150 gift card from the dealership.
