The DW and had the pleasure of staying at Santos state park camp ground as part of our new trailer shake down, provided to us by our selling sealer. This is a very small camp ground in between Bellview and Ocala Florida on US route 301. This camp ground is gated, has 25 large sites all back in with water and 30/50 amp electric service with a picnic table and fire ring, a dump station is provided at the exit gate. All sites are /appear to be level some have gravel drives some have concrete drives. The one we were at was concrete. The camp ground has 1 bath house and 2 picnic pavilions. The park is in a semi wooded area. This park is so quiet and dark at night it boarders on being spooky. At night off in the distance (about 10 miles away) at the crossing in Ocala you can hear the train air horns, just loud enough to break the deafening silence. Ocala is a small city and has everything you could need or want. Bellview is closer and has the basics, Publix, Bealls outlet, Tractor Supply, Opitmum RV, several gas stations and really good restaurants. The park is set up for hiking and mountain biking. It has many trails form beginner to expert. Reservations can be made at this park for up to 2 weeks maximum stay and is priced at $22.00/night. Pets are welcome. The park fills fast on the weekends. If you are passing through or are just looking for some peace and quiet time to reflect I highly recommend this park.
