Hi Being from Western NY we have camped there several times. It is a nice campground. We like the sites on the outside of the loop, #4 and around the lake side. They are all nice sites in the park though. If a storm comes up it can get rough on the lakeside with wind. There is an access to the lake from near sites 10 or 11 at the campground.....I don't think you are supposed to swim there....steep cliff (fenced) the rest of way along the lakeside There is a nice beach you can drive to. Just electric at the sites....water faucets spaces throughout the loops.
Concord Grapes are starting to be harvested along with other fall fruit crops. If you like wine, there are lots of good wineries to visit in the area. Just down the road, on Route 5, in Barcelona, NY is the first natural gas lighthouse in the country. It is quaint and quite nice to see. The lighthouse keeper's home has recently been taken over as a tourism center. Tourism seems to be based on the wineries but it is a pretty area in general.
We are leaving for Michigan on Sept. 6th....if you have more questions I will try to get back to you.
Happy Trails, Your neighbors from the Lancaster DOG

Thanks for the info. On thinking about hosting a camp rally there next july, my only concern is I hear some sites share a common electric pole,, could be tough having 2 campers sharing a.c. as well.

If this is open for anyone and you decide, let me know, we are only 30 minutes away...would be happy to help out. I haven't seen the shared electric unless it is in another loop we haven't stayed at. keep us posted.

Just got back from our 3 week trip through Michigan. The offer still stands for help or info. as you need it. We met up with 2 families who we met at the first rally a few years back.
