I’ve got a number of questions about my new 2015 16FKTH, some which could easily be answered if I had the trailer at home. I’m away from home working and the trailer is still at the dealer awaiting pick up later next month. I hope someone can provide some info to my questions as I’m trying to order some things online to install on the trailer during the week I’m home before I have to leave again for my work. Unfortunately I've asked about some of this info from the salesman where I purchased the trailer but have received no response so I'm hoping some of you guys can point me in the right direction.
I need to mount a removable motorcycle wheel chock centered in the trailer along with some additional short sections of L track. I feel confident I can securely attach these items to the floor once I access the underside of the floor from below. I’ve read online that some trailers have some sort of covering on the underside as well as insulation that must be dealt with. One of the campgrounds where we have often tent camped seems to have a lot of mice. It seems that if I have to remove some sort of covering below the trailer to mount the wheel chock and anchors that this would be a good time to seal any openings for the mice. I also plan on ordering some Camco flying insect screens to cover the exhaust for the furnace and water heater as recommended by one of the trailer dealer’s technicians.
What obstacles am I going to find on the 16FKTH that I’ll have to remove to access the underside of the floor?
If this is something I will have to deal with, how are these coverings typically attached and are they easy to remove and then reattach?
I know mice chew through a lot of things one would not expect so what would be good to use to fill any openings?
Can anyone tell me what insect screens fit the 16FKTH furnace and water heater exhaust or what furnace and water heater the trailer contains?
What other openings should I look to cover with some sort of screens like these?
I’d like to convert the internal lighting to LED. What bulb # is used for the inside lighting?
Thanks for any info you may be able to provide. I've seen some nice ideas on the "Upgrades and Modifications" board and hope to share some of my mods in the future.
